In the model code, 9 marks the slender celluloid series Waterman introduced around 1932 and 2 marks the nib size; the longer cartridge pens were built on it. Nishimura counts the JiF program as the start of the modern cartridge era, glass cartridges in 65mm and 52mm lengths, sealed with a cork stopper the feed tail pushes open.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eThere's no sac inside and nothing organic to age in the barrel; flushing the system through is super quick, and any ink is safe in it.
