Restoration as an Art

Pens are restored with care and obsession that reflects my own abilities and interests as a novice calligrapher and penman. Perfected down to the minutiae, restored works will stand the test of time and elements whether their nibs dance on paper or behind shielded glass.

  • 1. Commission Accepted

    Details of the project are reviewed and commission is accepted or denied. Pen is shipped to the atelier at address provided during consultation.

  • 2. Pen Received and Inspected

    Pen is inspected, organized, and recorded into inventory. Status of pen updated to customer and initial estimate on timeline and work required is updated. If parts are needed, will get consent to order and charge to invoice at cost.

  • 3. Restoration Work Completed

    Restoration is completed and final updated invoice is provided for customer to review and arrange payment and shipping.

  • 4. Commission Completed

    Restoration service is completed and project is shipped back to customer.
